Sainsbury’s planning application hearing on 15th January

The Sainsbury’s Planning Application will be considered and effectively decided at the Hart Planning Committee meeting next Wednesday evening 15th January starting at 7pm in Fleet. The Sainsbury’s application is the first case being considered at the meeting. I am now making a direct appeal for anyone opposed to this application to please come with us to this meeting. If you want to attend but do not have transport then please let me know and we will do all we can to find a space in a car for you. We are organising a spokesperson to make the case against the application. This really is the one and only chance now for us to influence this application in any way and previous experience of these meeting indicate that numbers attending do count for a lot. Even if you believe the application will be granted, this is the chance to influence the conditions that would be put on the store whether on the scale, style, access, traffic, operating hours or anything else. So please keep Wednesday evening free, put it in your diary and do let me know if you can attend whether under your own steam or need a lift.
