News on Owens Farm / West of Hook

Thanks in part due to the amazing public response (for the second time) against the application for 700 dwellings at Owens Farm to the west of Hook, Hart DC refused planning permission to this ridiculous proposed development.

As expected, the developer, Wilbur Developments, have now raised an appeal against the refusal by Hart. Those of you that responded to Hart in the recent consultations will have received a letter from Hart advising about that appeal and that the next step will be an ‘inquiry’.

For sure this is disappointing but we will continue to vigorously challenge and oppose the unnecessary and unwanted application.

The deadline for submissions to the appeal is 11th September.

The material submitted by the developer is over 400 pages long. We will be carefully evaluating the developers case and will come back with advice later this month.

For those interested, the Appellant’s Case has been added to the documents on the original planning application:

Thanks as always for your continued interest and support.
